Save Money by Getting It Right the First Time
Don’t make the mistake of buying parts that don’t fit or are incompatible with your setup. It’s all relevant — every part plays a role in the success of your build. The water pump is the key foundation of your LS swap, so choosing the right one is crucial.
Truck Spacing vs. F-body Spacing: Keep in mind, if you're using a F-body water pump and a 3/4 spacer kit, it’s still considered truck spacing. This distinction ensures compatibility with your existing components and avoids the need for unnecessary modifications.
Belt Sizes and Alternators Matter
The size of your alternator and the type of tensioner you use will affect the belt size. Here's what you need to know:
Alternator Size: The regular 105A alternator (factory GM with a Delphi Automotive label) and the 145A alternator (marked with DR44) require different belt sizes. Make sure you know your alternator model before ordering the right belt.
